August, or what the superstitious call the “Ghost Month,” isn’t exactly a festive one in their calendar. 

While it pays to read up and stay cautious from bad luck, we at Engkanto were so soaked in positive energy that we can’t help but to look back at the awe-inspiring events we took part in last month. Allow us to spread the optimism and give a rundown of what made the month of August truly amazeballs not just for us, but for the local craft beer community. 

Forging the courageous, passionate, and creative 

An intimate gathering of entrepreneurs and enablers in the business community, FORGING LEADERS FOR UNCERTAIN TIMES was an Open Access Event hosted by The Independent Investor last August 24, 2022. Compelling conversations over Engkanto craft beers filled the cozy Polilya bar & restaurant in Makati City. They explored the current venture climate in the country and the strategies necessary to thrive in it.  

Ideas flow better when we craft beer together.

Fancy for a feast and momentous occasion 

The luxurious Edsa Shangri-La, Manila, for its 30th anniversary celebration last August 30, 2022, collaborated with Engkanto for the top-drawer and exclusive ‘Edsa Shangri-La Lager.’ The posh idea emerged from having the multiple award-winning Live It Up Lager in swanky, elegant bottles that speak of Shangri-La's timeless opulence. Team Engkanto was there at the event where guests toasted craft beers and signature dishes. 

A triple treat of craft beer, flavorful food, awesome music 

Dark Meat Hot Chicken, the crispy, spicy, specially crafted sandwich from Shake Shack, finally met its dance partner in the Live It Up Lager. This exciting beer-and-chicken pairing is what we call an all-day super grub you can feast on any time. Ramping up the dining experience, Shack Sounds featured artist Ena Mori took over the mic at Shake Shack, Alabang Town Center last September 1, 2022. The ‘Wild One’ wowed the crowd with her enigmatic live music while guests munched flavorful burgers and sandwiches with the complete lineup of Engkanto craft beers.
