Vibrant and hop-forward, the newest seasonal beer from Engkanto Brewery is going at full speed, bursting with new aromas and flavors from its exciting hop varieties that include Strata, Mosaic, and Cryo Pop®, a signature hop blend from Yakima Chief Hops (YCH), a leader in hop innovation found in the US Pacific Northwest region. 

Hop Coolture is a reimagination of the classic Engkanto Pale Ale, made more drinkable for local beer lovers at 5.4% ABV (Alcohol by Volume) and bitterness of 35 IBUs. 

Renowned Engkanto Brewmaster Michael ‘MJ’ Jordan took some inspiration during the visit of the Yakima Chief team to the Philippines in November of last year. He made a special brew using the Cryo Pop® hops to the excitement of the visiting team and local enthusiasts. Thereafter, he creatively saw an opportunity to put a new spin on the award-winning Engkanto Pale Ale.

In making Hop Coolture, Brewmaster MJ harks back to his early days of craft brewing. From his home in Washington State, USA, he embarks on adventures, driving to the hop farms of Yakima Valley to discover new hop varieties. Hence, Hop Coolture is an ode to the American Pale Ale as its base style, with unique and intriguing flavor notes of peach, nectarine, stone fruit and citrus.
